Door Entry

Apart from keeping unwanted people out, access control systems are a great way for monitoring the time habits of your personnel as well as having the ability to "close off" restricted areas from staff who do not have the necessary security clearances. Door Entry systems are designed to permit the free flow of authorised movement into any site, whilst denying entry to unwanted visitors. With door entry technology developing so rapidly, Safe 'N' Sound Security is well positioned to invest the required resources to bring leading edge door entry solutions to our customers. Door Entry is a common security enforcement technique and, depending on the degree of protection necessary, methods of application will vary from simple sign-in sheets before a security guard to high-tech systems such as voice print identification. The first line of door entry remains a competent security guard hired from a reputable company, one who has passed a strict criminal background check. This guard maintains a basic sign-in log indicating such data as the visitor’s name, company represented, time and date of arrival, etc. The security guard will also ask to see each visitor’s photo I.D., specifically asking to see one that includes a signature, which...

Our expert surveyors and system engineers will design the exact system you require using the most suitable cameras and equipment available, providing sound advice on the most cost-effective and professional solution for your specific needs. CCTV The need for some level of surveillance within homes and businesses as a crime deterrent is obvious, and for this reason camera makers have come up with a variety of closed circuit television systems, known by the general term CCTV. Unlike stations which broadcast a general signal for any television to receive, a CCTV system sends its signal only to one monitoring station for observation, or records the scene onto film for later playback. These systems come with a number of different features. Some are black...

Intruder alarm systems Safe 'N' Sound Security Systems are professionally designed to provide custom made solutions in accordance with NACOSS GOLD standards. Safe 'N' Sound Security uses only approved products to ensure the optimum system for your purpose. An intruder alarm is a system widely employed to inform the owner, or other responsible person of a certain building or area of activity, that someone has entered the area. The simplest intruder alarm is a bell over the door to alert the shopkeeper in the backroom that a potential customer has entered. This system can be enhanced by installing angled mirrors that permit monitoring the entryway at all times from any location in the shop. A variation is the one-way office window, an innocent means of observing the visitor’s actions without their knowledge. More complicated intruder alarms utilize very sophisticated technology. The level of sophistication chosen, of course, strongly influences the cost factor and therefore depends upon the dangers attending an unwanted intrusion. A museum housing priceless Michelangelo art, for example, employs such devices as pressure pads embedded within the flooring materials around the displays, and sensitive microphones that detect specific frequencies, particularly the ones associated with very sharp sounds...

Access Control

Apart from keeping unwanted people out, access control systems are a great way for monitoring the time habits of your personnel as well as having the ability to "close off" restricted areas from staff who do not have the necessary security clearances.

Access control systems are designed to permit the free flow of authorised movement into any site, whilst denying entry to unwanted visitors. With access control technology developing so rapidly, Safe 'N' Sound Security is well positioned to invest the required resources to bring leading edge access control solutions to our customers.

Control panel

The control panel is the "brain" behind the system. Control panels come with different capacities, i.e. 4 zones, 8 zones, 16 zones, fully expandable to several hundred zones. Each detector included on a system will have its own individual zone designation, for example, a house with four movement detectors, two panic button, one smoke alarm and one door contact would require the minimum of an eight zone panel. All the cables from each detector must be wired back to the control panel.

The control panel is usually sited in a cupboard or other out-of-the-way location. The control panel is mains powered and has a sealed lead acid back up battery to maintain the system for a minimum of eight hours in case of power failure.

Most control panels that we use have the ability to be connected to your telephone line for notifying you on your mobile phone in the event of an activation or allowing us access for off site fault rectification.

Remote Keypads

Remote keypads are aesthetically pleasing devices, with a small screen and keypad. They are usually sited near the entry / exit point and are used for operating the alarm system. PR PIR -

The Passive Infra-Red sensor

When used correctly these detectors are in invaluable asset to any alarm system, they detect movement of heat, by looking at the room in Infra-red. The detector lens splits the room up into 20+ areas and basically any movement of heat between these areas will cause an activation of the alarm system.

Dual Technology Detectors

Dual Technology detectors are used for the same purpose as the standard movement detector but are more suitable for areas that are prone to false alarms such as garages, or areas where the boiler is kept. Dual Technology detectors are a combined microwave and infrared unit and require both technologies to detect an intrusion before activating the alarm.

The Shock Sensor

shock sensors london

Shock Sensors, quite simply are devices that detects shocks. Shock sensors are used to hopefully detect an attempted break in by forced entry. The idea is that the shock sensor detects any vibration caused by the intruder trying to gain access and triggers the alarm system before he has actually got in. A worthwhile consideration for any door or window frame.

Smoke Detectors

Smoke Detectors Detectors are an invaluable addition to any Alarm System so long as they are correctly placed. Most houses would perhaps only need a couple of smoke detectors (one in the Hall, and one on the Landing). Heat Detectors are perhaps better than smoke detectors for use in the Kitchen, and possibly the lounge.

Panic Buttons

Panic Buttons - When placed in a good location these devices can prove a useful addition to your alarm system. Ideal locations for the hardwired devices might be by the front door, or within reach of your bed. You could also ask for the wireless pendant type which you could wear around your neck, and when pressed would work from anywhere within your property, these can have up to 100 yards range so would be handy to have while gardening for instance.

Redcare

Redcare security offers business and domestic users the most secure and state-of-the-art alarm monitoring network in the world – the only one that constantly monitors every link in the connection chain, every second of every day.

Central Station

Since July 2002, Police guidelines state they will no longer respond to bells only alarm systems unless there is some additional evidence that an offence is in progress.

With a monitored alarm, you're connected 24 hours a day to the CUSTODIAN NACOSS Approved Alarm Receiving Centre via your phone line. Your home is monitored even if you are away, so any break-in signal will be attended to by key holders and, if the alarm is sequentially confirmed or a panic button is activated, the police will be alerted.

Also available is a range of fire detectors (see Smoke detectors) which, when installed as part of your alarm system, will indicate separately to Custodian that there is a fire emergency. If necessary the fire brigade will be alerted.
